Partlists and Kitlists

From Aligni Wiki

Every part in your database can have subparts. A part with subparts is sometimes called an assembly. The collection of subparts is called a bill of materials or a partlist. A subpart can be any part in your database and may, itself, have subparts. The only restriction on hierarchy is that a strict tree structure be maintained. That is, no "loops" are permitted.

The kitlist for the same part is shown at right. The "Total" column displays the total quantity of each part required for a single piece of the assembly. The "Assembly Qty" column displays the quantity required for each piece of each subassembly. The "Designator" column shows the designator information from each subassembly.
